LUNA Midi latency using Spitfire Sounds

I have a Alesis Q49 midi keyboard in my setup and usually in other DAW and with Sound Libraries it works pretty fine. I am experiencing a very noticeable latency when I use the Spitfire extensions in LUNA. Also tried turning on ARM mode (would that have an effect for the Midi stuff anyways?)

The keyboard is connected via USB directly to an Mac Studio.

Does someone have recommendations what else I could check to improve midi latency?

Just a wild card thought - string instruments have a very slow attack. I used to midi program string samples on top of the beat if I needed it to be rhythmically on time. Obviously legato passages are not a problem.

Thanks Chrisso ... with programming that would work!

I need to be more specific :) My issue is recording the midi stuff in real time. It is so hard to find the right feel with the delay between pressing down the keys and the sound to appear (even though it might be just some milliseconds - feels like 50-100 ms)...

Maybe then it is the slow attack on the Spitfire samples?
If you want strings to be bang on time, you might need to play slightly on top of the beat. Even real strings sections playing live are laggy. There are string players who specialise in rock and pop, but if you are working with more classical players the strings start to sound very behind the beat.
