Hi all
I have the UA Spark subscription and was wondering if there is any point buying the Luna Pro version as alot of the plugins are already in Spark?

Thank you in advance

Oh sure!!! The LUNA Pro bundle comes with all the Extensions (and their plug counterparts) so you can get the most out of LUNA.

And at $199 it's a steal. Keep in mind it comes with the Ampex ATR102 which is a top tier plugin. You get to use it as an Extension for now, and it you add a UAD device down the road, you'll have it plugin form as well.

Having just added Luna Pro to the Signature bundle after intense agonising about the added value, I’m going to say it was worth it for me.

There seems to be a synergy between all the Luna Pro stuff, some but not all of which you already have in Spark. It feels greater than the sum of its parts. Maybe it’s a feel or workflow thing but everything just fits together beautifully and easily both in sound and use.

I think the value is in this synergy more than in the nitty gritty of what licenses are added, and for non-DSP users the bundle is presently the only way to get it all (I think!). There are more licenses per £ in the native bundles.

As for the nitty gritty though, for non-DSP users with Signature (or I think Spark) Luna Pro adds:

1. ATR-102 as mentioned above, beautifully integrated into the Luna console.

2. API Summing in Luna (hard and messy to reproduce with plugins)

3. Ability to use the API channel and bus comp as the Luna Console.

Hope this helps 👍

Thank you for chiming in. Nothing beats a good user success story to help a future buyer to make a decision.

Cool!! It’s a great place to use the UADx plugins too. For me they sit really well on top of the Luna console, it’s somewhere I can experiment with them without breaking the ‘studio’ immersion, which means I try to use less, better.

Sorry if I’m making this sound like a video game (but it is definitely fun!)
