I have been having an issue with keeping sidechains set on multiple compressors on a bus. Hopefully I'm just doing something wrong.
I am trying to use multiple compressors on a rhythm guitar bus, sidechained to busses for lead guitar, lead synth, lead guitar 2, etc.
What happens:
- On a rhythm guitar bus, I insert an API 2500 and set sidechain to the lead guitar bus. The SIDECHAIN display in API 2500 shows the sidechain set to the correct bus.
- I insert a second API 2500 after the first one. On the second API 2500, I click on "SIDECHAIN: ASSIGN". The assignment automatically switches to the same bus assigned to the first API 2500. Meanwhile, the assignment on the first API 2500 resets to "SIDECHAIN: ASSIGN".
- I click the first API 2500 "SIDECHAIN: ASSIGN" and it automatically switches to the same bus assigned to the second API 2500, while the second API 2500 resets to "SIDECHAIN: ASSIGN". This is only fun for the first hour or two.
Is this expected behavior? It's happening on Fab Filter Pro-C also, but I haven't tested others. This is not the first time I have had this happen in Luna.
Images: 1. sidechained 2500, 2. second 2500 added, 3. click to assign sidechain for second 2500 and the first one switches to default, 4. click on first 2500 to re-set sidechain and the second one switches to default.
