M-Audio Firewire Profire Lightbridge with Mac G5 1.8

I'm considering ditching my RME Hammerfall DSP Multiface for an M-Audio Firewire Profire Lightbridge interface so that I can add a third UAD-1 card.

The system I would do this with is a PowerMac G5 DP 1.8 with one external firewire drive, 2x UAD-1 cards, and a PowerCore firewire. Everything works great - I have no audio dropouts, etc.

Does anyone have experience with my proposed config? Am I headed into a world of hurt if I ditch my PCI sound card for a firewire one just so I can get more UAD DSP power?
