mac audio hardware and UAD

i'm planning on buying an uad card very soon. i just got a new dual 1,8 powermac and i won't have money left to buy a new audio interface.
are there any problems when using the internal mac audio and an uad card ?

Generally speaking, built-in audio works as good as or better than any external audio interface. There is just one less set of 3rd party drivers and hardware in the chain to potentially mess things up (BIA as we call it is what we use for a baseline when testing performance with different interfaces here at UA). Of course, you're limited to 2-in, 2-out...
