Mackie UAD-1's were $799 new at first, then they dropped to $599. Used ones typically sell on Ebay for just under $500.

Hmmm, not a good deal. Better get in new in this case.
I'd consider 35% to 50% off the new price as normal or somethinng like that, unless the part is something speacially searched for by many people.
