...imagine this...bought a PoCo unplugged with VSS3 and you are having a lot of trouble installing your PoCo drivers, do it again and again and a third time with different settings. finally it works.

a week later you discover that there is another folder on your harddisk that the installer created in your vstplugins folder...from the original cd...that contains all tc distributed poco plugins, MD3, Virus, dynamic EQ, reatsuration suite, everything. the powercoremanager says they do not run on your card cause they are not authoritzed...

but when you plug them in....they do.
demo mode? nope.

if that happened, wouldn´t it be too good to belive?

(thank you tc!)

Rock on!
Pat

ps - just too bad that UA is not as sloppy as TC with their installer/authorisation programming ;)

all PoCo plug ins will run in demo mode for 20 days (or maybe 20 hours?) as part of a new promotion they launched last year...

this mode is unrestricted..

check their website for details...

you may be experiencing that..

Oh boy, even Harmony4? That thing looks sweet but over $1000 Australian, I'll stick to pitch shifting in cubase. But, if you'd be so kind as to share the secret of authorising all plugins on the poco ...

honestly, I have no idea! it does not happen when installing it on another pc, it really has to be a once in a lifetime error....

A longshot -- but perhaps this is a time-based bug relating to the revamped Daylight Savings Time schedule? I'm a programmer by day, and have come across a few quirky, unexpected bugs in various applications resulting from the switchover...

Shieeeet, now that I opened up the poco controlpanel the counters began counting down....so I will not have the pleasure for much longer....hahaha, would have been TOOOOO good to last forever. But I am sure I have used some of the plugins way longer than the demo period already....sh*t I should have never opened the panel, grrr......

sad,

...and I have already found the reason for the extended testingperiod...
the countdown had started before today for many of the plugins, however it is far from being down to the actuall time they have been running. I noticed that in the past months I have used Cubase in a bothersome way....I rarely quit it when I am done, because i keep working until it crashes. now I realized that when Cubase crashes and I have to reboot the DAW, the next time I open the poco controlpanel, the times are back to the last time I started. only when I shut down cubase the used-up times are written in the poco softwarelog. so basically for rough guys it should be possible to hard-reboot the computer instead of closing cubase...that might not be the nicest way to use windows, but it seems to extend the testdrive licenses until forever, and ever, and ever.....

...hmmm, tried some more. it actually does not work when rebooting by hand...it only worked when cubase really crashed....

So with Cubase being what it is you should have infinite demo's, right :?

Did you try to END Cubase in the Task Manager (Applications tab or even Processes tab)?
