Manley Vox Box De-Esser broken?

I recently indulged in a 10 plugin purchase that included the manley vox-box, but now I realize there is a huge issue with this plugin.

For some reason when I activate the de-esser on the DSP version the recording turns into what I can only describe as pure distortion.

this isn't an issue with the native version, I am curious as to if other people have experienced this aswell?

I have a mk1 apollo twin usb.

Edit: Almost as soon as I posted this I installed the newest update with Realtime X and the issue is solved now LMAO.
