Mixdown Is Borked --- It Exports at 48k instead of the 44.1 Setting and Is Faster Than Session

My console is set at 44.1 but when I mixdown to an mp3 it comes out at 48k. And the file plays faster than it should.

Help!!!

I never tried mp3 export but when I need an mp3 out of the session my way would be to export the .wav and then quickly transform it to mp3 with "Compressor" (you are on a mac right?) hope it helps.

Thanks. Yeah, that's what I ended up doing with Adobe Media Encoder. What do you mean by Compressor? Is that a Mac app?

Yeah, Compressor is a Mac application (used to come bundled with the Pro software a long time ago) -- but it's mainly an encoding program for Final Cut / video products. It's a $50 program nowadays, but it does a lot (for video). The part of Compressor that used to be used for mp3 conversion is now included in the Apple Music app. You'll have to set the preferences of the Music app to "convert imported audio to mp3" and then just drag the audio into the app.

It's a lot easier to just export an mp3 from Luna or Logic though.
