Monitor Advice? I know.....sorry......

Been Using NS10's for 15 years. Love em'. Looking for a 2nd pair of monitors that have a phat low end and that bang! I make Hop-Hop based music so would like to feel the weight every now and then, although I've always got a great sound just using the NS10's. Oh yeah.....I want to spend as little as possible....so much other gear to buy.........Guess I'm looking for the best bang 4 buck. Any advice?

I use a dynaudio setup : BM5A pair + the BM9S subwoofer

mixing mainly guitar/rock music, but I think for hip hop this system will be also fine.

you defenately have the low end covered, and they sound great (understatement) I paid 1600 (euros) for the system, I personaly think you should not save money on a good monitoring system....

I still have NS10's and like you wanted more bottom end. For a straight replacement without going to a subwoofer you cannot fault Dynaudio BM6a's.Plenty of warmth and lo end without it blooming - clear as a bell.

Othewise you could step up to the Dynaudio BM15's or look out for a pair of Genelec 1032a's but these will set you back more money and you may not really gain anything as the BM6'a are just superb.

I would think adding a subwoofer to your current system to be the simplest, cheapest, & perhaps most effective solution.

I couldn't agree more. If you've used NS10 for 15 years I wouldn't change. You should know those monitors terrible well by now, and going for a completely new set of monitors would only shift your focus away from your music.
