Moving from DXi to V 4.3's VST plugs ?!

Can anyone help me through this upgrade procedure...I am still running 3.7 and using plugs as DXi. If I download and upgrade to 4.3 will all my current projects find the new VST only versions of the pugs ? I am a little scared of installing and then launching a project and recieving an error message of \"plugs not found\" or similar :(

I am running Sonar5.

Would love to hear from anyone else who has done this successfully :) as I am in the middle of an album and don't want to re mix....

Too late for me. I was in the middle of a project and before I realized what I was doing, I lost all of my UAD settings in Sonar 5 when I made the upgrade from 3.8 to 4.3. I was about to call UA to find out what my next move is. If I can't get the presets back I'm in trouble....big trouble.

Hopefully I can use both the DX plugs and the new VST plugs at the same time. If not then I can't finish my new project with the new plug-ins I've purchased.

:( I just spoke to UA support and they said that as long as Sonar is referencing DX plugs you will loose those presets if you install the 4.3 ver. So, I'm having to go back and re-install 3.8 to get my presets back. I guess I can go through every plug and write down the settings for the project then reload 4.3 and apply those settings to the project. AT least there is a go back solution. He said 3.8 ver was still up on the server if anyone needs to go back and get it.

owch.

Might've been a good idea for them to keep the DX versions of the old plugs in the driver just for compatibility.

Kind regards

Also if you're going to v4.3 make sure you install the beta vst wrapper from the Cakewalk site, and avoid the err=21 issue
