Was told that there was a problem with PCI-X and UAD multiples.

Is that still a problem?

Looking into upgrading to a Dual Quad with 3 PCI-X slots.

The issue is PCI-X that uses AMD's 8000 chipset. You'll find this on a few older Opteron motherboards, and the first generations of the G5 Mac's. But the latest Opteron boards use nVidia chipsets mainly. Of course, the new Macs are Intel. You shouldn't have an issue.

Good luck.
