How would the sound interface NOT disconnect when rebooting?

What is the problem exactly?

Is it that you reboot and then it doesn’t work after a reboot? Can you power it off and on again and does it work then?

Yes, when I turn the computer off and on, the sound card's lights are on, it seems to work, but it's disconnected from windows. There is a cross above the sound icon at the bottom right, when I turn off the power button of my sound card and on it, windows detects my sound card again. My device; Apollo x6 Thunderbolt. And my motherboard has a thunderbolt input.

Some windows Thunderbolt cards / chips need the device to be powered on before booting … so maybe a reboot is confusing for it?

This doesn’t happen on my Mac Studio or MacBook Air.

Yes but there must be something that is part of a reboot with your windows machine that is causing it to not search for the device at the right time.

What happens if you fully power the computer off … then wait 30s … then start it up again, does it see the Apollo?
