I posted a question about this before but now I can't find that thread. annoying

anyways, Apollo twin QUAD and 8p both connected through thunderbolt. everything work perfectly except my DAW is not receiving any auto input from the twin. I set the 8p as the monitoring unit. I have the optical cable also connecting them both.

I have read three manuals now and I still can't find the problem.
Apollo Thunderbolt Software Manual / UAD System Manual / Apollo Solo Thunderbolt Manual

I tried both in Ableton and Logic. everything works perfect in the UA CONSOLE.

Help?

Typically two things - the I/O Matrix in Console settings, and the inputs in the DAW.
In both cases, defaulting will usually get you where you want to be. I personally customize my I/O Matrix. In PT, it's helpful to delete the inputs and outputs before defaulting, too.

I'm not sure what the equivalent is in Logic or Live.
