Neve 33609 (original) vs 33609 C differences ?

Does anyone know what the differences are between the original "old" Neve 33609 and the newer (mkii?) 33609 C soundwise?

Just realized updating to v10 auto-replaced all instances of the 33609 with the new "C", and rendering a song now with everything else the same doesnt seem to Null anymore...

If C had many options added, different presets and extra THD/Non-Linearities, why wasnt there a Legacy version (like 1176, LA2A, etc.)?

Wow, so whats at play then... different oversampling? Or maybe the settings didnt transfer, but that sounds rather unlikely (I cant compare though without downgrading...). Will make double sure it is not something weird on my end, or maybe I try with some simple test to rule out the 33609 C for sure. It just struck me first though with the updated feature set, different presets and the "C" name change.

An easy way to tell if the plugin settings didn't copy over to the new C version is to instantiate another 33609C on a new track - does it have the same settings as what you have on the original track? If not - then those are your settings that came through. I don't actually remember whether or not C is loaded with previous versions' settings or just 'reset' as a new plugin or not.

Update after some more investigating:

Presets were actually the same (not sure what I was looking for) and the Settings from my old project 33609 did seem to translate to the C...

Still did one more round of testing back and forth between v8.6.2 33609 and v10.2.5 33609 C using the same Preset on a simple Loop, yet it doesnt Null. Difference is barely hearable, but not the same. To make sure it is not caused by something generic on my end I used same loop and session to check 1176LN, SSL GBus, Neve 88RS, and Pultec against the Legacy versions and they all null 100% perfect. So just 33609 vs C does not, but only to the point of negible, just not identical.
For my project being more drastically different, I would rule out the 33609 C after this test, still looking for what might be causing it.
