It's a Preview Release of the new Apollo Console!

Some of the highlights include:
* Sleek, Modern Interface
* Enhanced Plugin Preset Browsing
* Resizable Plugins (macOS)
* Quick Hide/Show All Plugin Windows
* Submit Feedback Directly from Console

This can coexist with the current Console app!

Please post all Console comments and questions in this thread!

First thoughts are its not really a visual improvement. It CAN be a better use of space if you need absolutely every single control available at all times, but I find that way too busy and congested and is something (like the above screenshot and) like I dont like in LUNA. If you hide sections, it feels like there is more wasted space than before. This is how it looks on my computer: Screenshot 2024-04-09 at 19.19.02.png

It can clearly be better optimized for an iMac screen (which you'd hope is common enough to UA to put some priority towards).

IMO its too bright, a lot of buttons are too small, too much unused space. Overall its not a total disaster or anything, it retains most of what was good about the last version (but adds some of the design I don't like about Luna). I would prefer it to be less bright, the rest I can live with.

Larger plugin GUI's makes me so happy, are the slightly blurry graphics a limitation of running on UAD2 DSP, or is it a case of those plugins needing full UI updates? Its not a huge deal but I've seen quite a few looking blurry at my preferred sizes.

EDIT: UA Connect support is a nice touch. Hopefully this makes it easier to just install owned plugins and save the enormous download sizes (and effort removing unused plugins).

I’m unable to open the old version. I’m using Windows 11 and when I search for console it just opens the new one.
There’s a “Console” app along with a “UAD Console” app and both open the new console.
Look in the UA menu. You'll see Lagacy Console

So much better use of space. And the ability to see all Cues at once. Huge improvement.

IMO The cue's and send's shouldnt take up such a huge portion of the screen when (I'd imagine) they're one of the slightly lesser used features for many users (especially when I think of how prevalent Twin's are in studios here and how they are used). When you hide those sections you don't gain anything besides less distractions/clutter, its just more grey.

Be sure to submit feedback in the app.

Although it's not necessarily designed for higher rez monitors, it does prefer 1440p and its retina equivalents (as Drew shows above). On a 4k display set to recommended settings (essentially a 1080p experience), there's not wasted space on the original Console, but I've learned to mostly prefer the new Console, so far.

Me too. Took some getting used to but I prefer it now as well.

I can't seem to find where to hide plugins in Console as it's moved?

Does anyone know/can they point me to where in the manual it shows how to hide plugins?

Already finding lots of nice new features in Console (like type to search). Also interesting that the plugin list has Universal Audio in its own section, maybe we'll get some kind of native plugin support for committing to native low latency plugins on the way in in the future. Would be awesome to be able to use a better guitar tuner, IR loader etc on input.
