After an extended break, Rainland is creating music again. The latest song, 'sisterplanet,' is an upbeat instrumental synthfest:

I used the following UAD-1 plugs:
Bass: I used Pultec Pro and my 14-day Multi-Band compressor trial to tame the unwieldy analog synth bass track
Drums: 1176 for some squish and Cambridge on drum buss to roll-off a little high end sizzle and take the murky low-end flab out of the kick
Arpeggio Sequence Synth: Cambridge EQ to filter out bottom and enhance/brighten the modulated filter cuttoff freq
Lead Synths: PultecPro and some LA-2A
Master Mix/\"2 Buss\": Cambridge for smoothing mids and Voxengo Elephant 2.5 for limiting (shhhh...)
Rainland Background: Rainland formed a few years back as a collaboration with my long time friend, Rex. We wrote and recorded two songs together and re-recorded two songs Rex wrote with a previous band. In time, the business of real life intervened with music making and Rainland went on hiatus for a while, but I'm making music a priority again and resurrecting the Rainland name.
Having moved last year, 'sisterplanet' started off as a simple test project for the revamped studio. It evolved into a fun celebration of my early '80s synthesis roots and influences. Don't take it too seriously and remember to tap your feet.
