New motherboard?

I have difficulty with my MSI KT4AV L motherboard, in that it refuses to allow me to run 3GB ram with my UAD cards. I can run at 2.5GB without difficulty, and perhaps I should give up and accept that.

I would like to know if there is an AMD motherboard which will definitely have no trouble with 3BG ram, and will happliy work with 2 or more UAD cards? As another option I am thinking of getting the expansion unit from magma.com which can hold 4 PCI cards. This links to the PC via a PCI card, though I am wondering whether this PCI card would have the same impact on my existing system with 3GB: ie with only one UAD card installed and with 3GB ram my PC freezes just before the Windows takes over from the BIOS bootup, leaving me with a screen with a few coloured letters dotted about. The PC will run 3GB without the UAD cards.

I can't say this for sure but the UAD-1 could be mapping memory in the 3GB range for transferring data if this is the case then no MB would work I'd send an email to Universal and ask.

This is just possible theory on my part.
