I'm planning a new system ...

Motherboard: ASUS commando
Processor: Quad Core QX6700
RAM: 2gb DDR2 800 corsair
Hard Drives: 2 x WD 10,000 raptors, 1 x SATA 7200 apps drive
UAD's: 2 x PCI and 1 x PCIe
Soundcard: RME 9652
Other: TC Powercore Mark 1
Other: Liquid Mix Firewire

Any opinions on whether all of this will work together?

Can't see any reason why it wouldn't. Just don't install Windows Vista.

Don't know if it concerns you but I had a Raptor and found it too be too loud for audio use - quite a hard hitting noise. Not sure but they're also reputedly quite hot running - I replaced mine at the same time as my gfx card which was also running hot and this sorted out crashes I'd been having. Could've been the gfx card however.

About the hard-drives, you do get Silent Enclosures for them. I have them installed in my system. I'm not sure 10K drives would suitable with them as both mine are 7200 RPM drives.

The hard-drives don't seem have any faults using them for me so far, it's been over 6 months too.

Congrats.
I second the Windows Vista warning, at least for now. I bought it and uninstalled it a few days later.
Good luck,

Yeah you're better off trading a little extra speed for silence. Unless you're planning streaming 100s of tracks, a regular 7200 Barracuda will do the job quietly. Also get a fanless video card

I was using a Scythe Quiet Drive on the Raptor I owned, didn't make much/any difference.
