New to Luna.

So as the title says I'm new to Luna. But I do have all the Native UAD plugins.
I started a session today with a bunch of loops just to get a feel for the software and so far so good. I have quite few plugins as inserts on certain tracks and things sound well.
My question is this why do I need need Luna pro ? and what am I missing not having it ?

Thanks ahead of time!

I believe there's only one version of Luna. Unless something has changed that I don't know about.

Well Luna pro comes with a bunch of other goodies not included in the free version of Luna. I'm just wondering how much I really need the stuff that comes with Pro, That I don't already have with all the other plugins from the Signature collection ?

Okay I found it, I got to pay attention to things more I guess. :D I guess it depends on how many of the plugins you don't already have. For $199 it's a very good deal. There are a lot of good plugins in that deal that until recently cost a lot more, so I would jump on that if you're missing a significant amount. Welcome to Luna!

I’m not sure what the different plugins are on the Pro bundle (I glanced one day, seemed really cool for the money), but if I were you and enjoying the new UA audio toys, I’d probably go for it to have more.
If only for the fact that you’d be getting them at a steal compared to what I paid for them just within the last 2 years.
I now have 90+ plugins and they’re all fantastic, some are simply stellar & each have their potential uses.

After the holiday sale is over & the prices go back to standard, you may kick yourself for not grabbing the Pro bundle sooner.
Just my two cents..

Have fun and cheers!

In my opinion, it very much depends on what exactly you want to do. For people who mix and finalise songs a lot, I would definitely recommend the Pro bundle - although there is one thing I don't like: the fact that Neve summing is not included.
Another very good thing is the API package (Vision Luna extension and 2500). This gives you a super universal tool for sound tweaking every track very quickly and precisely. If you primarily write and arrange songs, you don't really need the Pro bundle in my opinion, especially if you already have all the native plugins.

Hi!
Just an opinion from a non pro average singer song writer here :) I am normally using Logic, which I love, and I am trying really hard to enjoy working in Luna ever since it launched. As much as I want to love it, there is something about it. But I haven't given up on it yet, haha. But Logic is still my fav!
Anyway, my advice would be, don't invest in the Pro until you know you love and will be using Luna, as the Extensions you are paying for are Luna only. Most of the plugins are included in the $49 “Essentials bundle” I think, so you have them already. And as mentioned you are paying for the "complete API console" in Luna + the Ampex ATR-102 Master Tape Machine.

Good advice!
In its current state, Luna is for the most part a very good recording and mixing machine for me. I love it for that.
Developing and recording sounds, yes.
But developing songs and song structures? Not (yet) at the moment.
And to complete it, for me it only makes sense if you have an Apollo interface.

Imagine turning your DAW into an API Console with a premium tape machine.

That’s the reason to get PRO as far as I can see.

I’ve been using those plug-ins non-natively with an Apollo x8 and loving them.

This sale will most likely go through the end of the year.
Keep working with Luna. If you absolutely adore it after a couple of more weeks, spring for the Luna Pro bundle.

I've been using Luna since April this year (2023) and got bitten by the UAD bug subsequently going all in... The last thing I needed was the Neve Summing which sadly isn't in the bundle but, now that I have it and every time I add that to a bus and flip it on... my ears PERK UP! API Summing will be the only thing that will give you anything different sonically with Luna Pro but kinda worth it too.

With that being said, the API Console extensions just added a huge psychological creative edge for me. It's more aesthetics and work flow. Check out some of the Luna Themes here and combine them with the extensions and a killer template or two, I cannot wait to get to the computer when I get home, wake up, ditch a party etc and open Luna.

I have friends that when they need a break just come over and hang out in the studio, the vibe is here. NOW, its in the machine too.

So the extensions. Api summing, Neve summing can be only used in Luna correct ?
Yes, both API and NEVE summing can only be used in LUNA. The NEVE summing can only be bought if you own an Apollo interface though!
