I just got my first UAD-1.
I bought a flexi Pack...thanks Eric at JRRShop...did a great deal, great service and super fast shipping, I am in Australia, and I couldnt believe how quick I got it.....8)
Anyways, I had thought many times over the last few years about getting a UAD-1 card...but always held off because of the price, particularly here in OZ it was insane...
Well, the new card arrived, It installed a piece of cake and I was up an running. I must confess, one of the main reasons I finally decided on purchasing was the NEVE plug ins...I really wanted to try them.
Well, I activated all the demos of the plugs I wanted to try and recorded and mixed a song.
WOW!
I love the 1073, its amazing. Simply fantastic.
The EMT Plate is right up my alley, I love that sound.
The LA2A is great for vocals, great sound easy to use.
The 1176LN is nice on bass guitar
The 33609 is just awesome as a main bus compressor.
I really dig the precision limiter, i shot it out against some waves stuff and really dug it.
The Dimension D is great as a backing vocal or bass chorus.
The RE201 is pretty cool, though , I dont think I will get it. too pricey.
The Fairchild, is wonderful on acoustic guitars. Nice sound.
After mixing with these plug ins for a few hours, I immediately placed an order for another FLEXI Pack.
That way I will have two cars, $1200 USD in vouchers, and with this months 20% off sale....woohoo.

I tried the helios, but i am not going to spring for it atm.
Between the 1073 , 1081, and the pulteq EQ-1A, its pretty well covered.
These are great plug ins.
I was getting pretty good mixes to start with, but these guys will take me to another level.
MY host is SONAR PRODUCER 6 and the UAD-1 seems to be functioning fine and dandy.
My second card will get here on MON, is there anything major to know about putting a second card in, slot wise....?
I am such a happy camper...8)

, it will only get worser i assure you. Don't mean to further tempt you but you may wanna re-demo the Helios eq, it's truly a great eq, one of the smoothest i've heard. The Neves are great to but why stop there :evil:
