Hello all,

I have an Apollo Twin and have never been able to use it. I find all the stuff about gain setting etc complicated. When I did get it to work I had so much lag between playing my guitar and the output via my mixer out to the FRFR speakers that I stopped using it.

I now see UA have brought out a suite of USB Audio interfaces.

As context, I am a guitarist in a home studio using a Mac Studio desktop and trying to learn Luna(which came with the Apollo Twin). I shall also record using my iPhone 15 for the video component.
My wife also sings and plays guitar.

My question - Which Volt model should I get ?

Volt 276 or Volt 476 ?? In case a mate comes in to jam at our place ?

I suggest that you learn how to work your Twin properly to eliminate lag (latency.) Many of us here use our guitars (and many other instruments) with an Apollo Twin with no noticeable latency. Near-zero latency is where the Apollos excel.

Going from Apollo Twin to Volt is a downgrade, in my opinion. And it will not solve your latency problem.

I have had a Twin and still have an Apollo 8. You should not be getting latency....the problem is not the interface but something in the way you have set it up. Why don't you tell us a bit more about how you are set up so we can see if there is anything obvious.
