No Audio Output from Apollo Twin X - Sonoma 14.1.1

I recently updated my Mac to Sonoma 14.1.1, which resulted in a need to update my Apollo software. I completed the download and install and clicked allow in the security and privacy settings, for a seemingly successful update, however now there is no audio output through Apollo. It picks up mic and instrument and shows input volume in console, but has no output in either headphone or monitor and does not show output in console either - such as from mic or instrument or from a computer program such as Spotify.

I have tried multiple times to uninstall and reinstall the software, but the "allow" button doesn't show up anymore, and I'm not sure if it's just compatibility or what. Under settings on the I/O matrix in Console everything shows offline under inputs and there's nothing under outputs. I don't see any of the options, devices or configurations that used to be there. I can change the output in my Mac sound settings to any other device (Mac Speakers, TV screen, etc) and it works fine, but Apollo is not giving any sound.

Please help :)

Did you ever find a fix for this? I'm in the same-ish boat. I just updated to Sonoma 14.4 (whoops) and updated my Apollo software and now I get no audio into or out of my Apollo Twin mkii. Audio is coming into and out of my x8p just fine.

I've done the same - tried multiple times to uninstall and reinstall software, hardware resets, etc...Super frustrating. I hope there's some kind of fix soon.

Ever since I updated to Sonoma, and actually even up to the latest prior to that, I've had issues with monitor and headphone outputs on my Twin X and Arrow. Haven't tried it on my x4 yet but I will. Seems that where before, and I'm no musician or mixer... just use for voiceover and podcast, I could immediately monitor through the speakers or headphones, now I have to fiddle with the knob and crank it at least half way or more before there's any response or output. It can take awhile. A full clean reinstall of the latest UAD software didn't help.

I submitted a ticket and they got back to me with this (below). It didn't help me - my Apollo Twin still won't pass any audio, even in standalone mode - but might be worth a try for anyone else having issues. Note that I have an Apollo Twin MKII Quad Core, so the firmware you need to drag into your UAD Meter Window may be different than what is below.

Never had a single issue prior to this Sonoma 14.4 update, now I fear my Apollo Twin is shot.

-------------------------------------------

Hello, thanks for reporting this issue.

Please use the steps below in descending order. This will isolate the problem and help us diagnose any hardware faults.

- Perform a Manual Firmware Reload:
1. Open the UAD Meter & Control Panel and have it ready in the background
2. Open Finder and navigate to /Library/Application Support/Universal Audio/Firmware/UAD-2
3. Find [ FirmwareUpdateQuadStretch.bin ] and drag it into the UAD Meter window
4. Follow on-screen instructions to reload firmware

- Perform the Apollo Twin MkII Hardware Reset

- Perform a standalone test:
1. Power OFF and disconnect Apollo from computer
2. Connect an input device (mic, instrument, line-in)
3. Connect an output device (speakers, headphones)
4. Power ON Apollo. Set PREAMP & MONITOR levels using the Apollo's physical controls

The Apollo should pass audio from input to output in standalone mode. Test and see if the issue can be reproduced in this state.

Hi,

I'm having the same or similar issue, I think. I recently downloaded and installed the updated version of Console on my Macbook Pro M2 (Sonoma 14.4.1) and when I plug in my Apollo x4, sound passes through to the monitors, and I can get levels on the physical device for things I plug in (mic, guitar), but no levels show in Console, the apollo shows as offline. Has anyone run into a solution, or is anyone else experiencing this?

Would love some assistance if any UAD folks see this! Thank you

I'm having the exact same issue. After updating to MacOS Sonoma from 10.14.6 and updating my Apollo Twin drivers via the UA Connect app, I'm only getting sound from my inputs but no other computer playback whatsoever. Did anyone find a fix?

I'm having the same issue with my M2 Pro chip MacBook Pro and Apollo solo. It was even working flawlessly after the os update when it's still connected to my computer, but not anymore after I re-plug it in. There are monitor output levels, but no sound. I have to say it's really frustrating...

SOS nobody reply here?????
I did the same
1 - Reinstall Monterey
2 - Uninstall UAD with AppCleaner and deeper with EasyFind
3 - Install UA and UAD sofware
4 - Reinstall/upgrade Firmware FirmwareUpdateQuadLavern.bin. couldn't use FirmwareUpdateQuadLavern2.bin
Still no sound coming out on my large speaker.
