no hits? I think this is a nice looking guitar….but I am a little concerned about the Eucalyptus top though. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Eucalyptus used for a top. Can you tell if there has been any change in the shape of the top since you purchased it? or if there is any change in string height over time? is it traditional hollow like the fenders? I notice the large route on the back for the electronics, what does she look like in there? I am generally interested …

Hi, thanks for the interest in the guitar. I've owned the guitar for about 5 years now and I haven't noticed any change in the top. As with all wooden instruments, I have noticed seasonal changes as you would expect, but nothing unusual. It's constructed similar to a Fender thinline with one difference, the top and back are carved with a slight arch. It's very hard to see in photos, but another feature that makes this guitar very unique. As far as the control cavity is concerned, there's nothing unusual going on in the. It's a lot like a Gibson LP control cavity.

If you'd like to learn more about the builder this is an interesting thread. It's not the guitar I have for sale but one of his builds. https://www.tdpri.com/threads/maricopas-2012-challenge-build-thread-completed.317966/

Do you know if it has a center block? or is it completely hollow (like this build in the thread)?

interesting build thread by the way, thanks!

It's mostly solid, just like a Fender thinline Tele. The only places that are hollowed out are under the F-hole and the control cavity. The guitar weights ~7.5lbs.

I found the original thread from the builder when he finished the guitar. I've had the guitar longer than I thought, LOL! FYI, I changed the pickups to the Duncan P90s and the tuners to Gotoh vintage locking.

Sorry! I've tried to sell it once before, but once I remembered how unique it is and how well it plays, I changed my mind. I decided to sell a Fender Elite Tele that's a great guitar, but not unique at all.
