if you are asking for MIX help, please leave the track unaffected by any plugs on the master buss and/or any mastering effects. otherwise, how can there be proper suggestions when our view is being skewed by some random plug to make it \"louder?\" -4.5db or so max peaks please. if you want suggestions on a whole project (mastering included) please post the unmastered and mastered versions so we know what is effecting what. thanx.

Well, since basically no one replies to -my- pathetic cries for mix help, I'd suggest that the point is slightly academic. Perhaps there is some magic 'quality threshhold' below which people here will not stoop.

It's actually an interesting request, and a great opportunity, if one wants to take advantage of it. Hmmm...I don't usually leave less than 3-4dB even after mastering. Then again, I still have a lot to learn. The thing is, all I have right now are public sites to post on. So, I would have to leave some raw stuff out there. I don't mind this, because on my SoundClick Site, for example, I put up unfinished stuff for review and collaboration all the time. I don't know if others would feel as uninhibited though.
