Nuendo/Cubase OFFLINE PROCESSING

I still get stuttering and pops when I preview UAD-1 plugins for offline processing. I can understand this if my DSP is over 85%, but it's not even pushing 50%!

I can push DSP upto 80-90% at low latencies (not using offline processing)... so I don't get it...

What's the work around?

Yeah, I've bitched about this for -years-. It's worst of all with Pultec (which is the one I want to use it with most, of course.) Basically, it's flying blind. If there is a workaround, I'd LOVE to hear it.

I believe Paul Woodlock explained it to me one time, but I found the explanation unsatisfying (simply because it doesn't actually -help- the problem) so I forgot the details---maybe it's the higher sampling rate; cosmic rays?

IIRC the workaround is to disable the card in the UAD taskbar before processing....that used to work for me, but don't really have issues on my new machine.

Although I'm stuck on SX1 and sometimes get latency in the processed files, so they require trimming and time slipping back into line - is that any better in Cubendo2+?

Try to raise the latency settings in the audiodriver before prosessing.

Works for me when using a lot of UAD1-FX

yeah... choosing disable from the uad-1 meter works.

is their a way to assign this to a key command?

too bad nuendo/cubase doesn't have a preference to disable this automatically when you open an offline processing window

That would be sensible, just have it as a option in the preferences "Disable Other UAD-1 Plugs during Offline Processing Operations". This has bugged me for a while...
