nuendo direct uad processing

I want to start working at 88.2 so I obviously cant run as many plugins. Why is that every other plug in I have will allow me right click on the file and do direct processing to the file with a clean crackle free preview. I need this to work to help me use plenty of high res eqs and comps..........

any ideas or why is this not important to UA?

thank u

Works fine in SX, but I do get crackles when the cards are working hard and I try to apply a plugin that pushes it near the top... It's not a big deal really, it's the expected behaviour, isn't it?

Hmmm... thinking about it, you do see the UAD performance meter drop to the value of the single plugin you're applying while it is actually doing it. But evidently it's not the same during preview. Is that UA's 'fault', or Steinberg's?

Hmmm.

I don't work my card hard enough then because I never get crackles. Latency is a great cause of crackles. The longer the data path you require more time to process it. This doesn't have to be drastic though, just try matching the latency values in the UAD applet with that of Nuendo's or vice versa by adding time to the ASIO clock.
