Nuendo mixdown pops with Pultec

I recall this happening a while back, but I personally haven't had a pop in Audio mixdown (UAD related or not) for ages - not since Nuendo 3, I think.

Anyway, I used the Pultec for the first time for ages, and look - a great fat pop in the mixdown file. This was not with Real-time mixdown, and neither the card nor the computer were heavily loaded.

I'm on the latest UAD version, latest N3 and 10.3.8, 2.5DP G5.

Do I just not use the Pultec? seems a shame...

I've had good luck with realtime and non realtime, processing with both Pultec plugins my setup is pretty similar, but I do use a magma. The only time I've gotten pops (intermitently) is when I had my buffer at 256 or lower, actually 128 gave clicks pretty consistantly. Is that problem always happening every time you process?

Hi MPC

I usually run 512, though occasionally 256 if I need to play a VSTi. Can't remember if it was 512 or 256 that day.

The trouble is, I run a busy studio and I really can't afford the time to risk mixdowns with pops, even if it happens only occasionally. I run other UAD plugs (1176, Dreamverb, LA2A and all) with no pops at all, so the easiest solution for me is to just avoid the Pultec. Which is a pity.

Thanks for the input.
