Output selection text, usually white when pressing the "monitor button or chosing the ch1-ch2 alternative" has vanished. Despite resetting the interface and reinstalling the digital audio workstation (DAW), the text remains elusive. Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

If you have the Console options set "ALT COUNT" to 1 so you can have two pairs of monitors, this is normal behavior.
In this case, the outputs corresponding to the second pair of monitors are disabled (turned black).

I don't even have that option saying "alt count". Also its just that white text that's not indicating anymore.
The thing that's suddenly missing in the white text on the device that's saying what you are controlling. For example if you are on the "headphone volume, monitor volume, or on ch1-ch2.
Also why is there so much problem with these uads? google is full of issues.. :s
