OX Compression: How to set up for Boost without Compression

Title says it all. I'd like to have a foot switchable gain boost, say 3dB. Being unversed in compressors, how would I set the controls to do this?

Thanks in advance.

I don't use any pedals but you can simply set the input on the 1176 so it isn't showing any needle movement (make sure the top right METER is in GR (gain reduction) then adjust your output volume to achieve a 3 DB boost. turn it off and on again and use the main OX UV meter to get to that amount of boost.

Use the master volume in the OX and create the boost using volume and you don't need to use the compressor at all.

Is this footswitchable though?
I assumed you could assign a switch to change rigs like in the OX stomp. if not you could just enable the comp and give it a few db gain. If there is too much compression turn the input down a bit and the output up more to compensate.

Not per the instructions which say that only the effects are switchable.
