OX Stomp App for Mac and PC

Is there any latest news on the development of getting the OX Stomp software available for desktop computers?
I might be able to live without midi but having to tweak everything by phone is terrible. The app is a major let down.
PLEASE UA, GIVE US A DESKTOP VERSION !!! Digital products among other things are all about convenience...

Big upgrade ahead for apps for UAFX Amp pedals and OX Stomp.

You gotta believe it. 🤘

No hints but you have to believe UAD is working on making superior apps.

The hardware is fine but the software that runs it needs further development and refinement.

What I don't understand is whether what you wrote is based on certain news or is it just your deduction based on the fact that the software is shameful
Intuition. ;)

... or faith. 😁
Okay, so I won't be selling the Ox Stomp for now
Bingo!

UAD is losing sales by having crummy apps for their awesome tone machines. It’s an easy fix. Just needs pro programming. You gotta believe they are working on elevating the quality of the apps.

New OX stomp user here and fully agree with everyone - the tones are great but coming from Two Notes and Helix, UA's editor is solely lacking... Hope to see a desktop editor or at the very least an app that shows numerical values for parameters being edited! On a side note, also been waiting for Strymon to release the full version of their Nixie 2 software that's been in beta for quite a while now and still not supporting the majority of their pedals. Seems to be a thing with companies that make great pedals... 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, that is the thing that made me take it back the most. That app was dreadful here. So many things......

-didn't connect most of the time. When it did, it would disconnect often.
-fiddly for sure. You'd try to move the "bass" or whatever and it would jump a bunch. So now, you'd have to pull it back down/whatever. Plus, if you swiped cabs/mics and selected one, it would move back to the original view. Fiddly. Not intuitive. Very disappointing because almost everything else I've used or own UAD is fantastic.
-even when it did work, it was a PITA to have yet another app open on top of my computer. Didn't think much about this when buying it, but it wasn't ideal.

Anyways, I sent it back, blessing in disguise because I've now sold my Friedman anyways, glad it works for those that enjoy it :)

Tonex + Ox Stomp is pretty fantastic but it's maybe a 5-10% improvement over Tonex by itself, IMO. Good enough that I use it with the Tonex pedal, not good enough to bother using it with the Tonex plugin.

Oddly enough, I use the Blackstar plug/cabs for virtually everything now. It's not "cheap" but with a little kick in the 3k range, it feels/sounds best to me. Of course, everyone is different.

Oh, the "tan" amp section is really good sometimes too.

They're absolutely losing sales, but I'm not so sure they actually care that much. Doesn't seem like it? I mean, every other brand has really decent pc editors, even the really cheap ones. If they wanted, they could hire a couple of guys and we'd have it in a couple of months. It's not excactly the most difficult piece of software to develop?

Has anything official ever been mentioned about making the app compatible with desktop computers? I find the user experience of OX Stomp app so frustrating it drives me nuts. It has me torn to the point I'm considering selling it even though i love the sound of it. I don't understand why we at least don't have the same app that's on the OX amp top box but even the current app as bad as it is would be a lot more intuitive if i could use it on my computer

We are hoping for the release of a desktop app for all UAFX devices. 🤞
