PCI-e slot..which one to choose? 4x or 8x?

Hello everybody,
I just got my first UAD-1e and I was wondering: where should one optimally install the card? I have two 4x slots and one 8x slot, all free. I assumed 8x might be better since I only have one

but that might not make sense at all. My computer is a PowerMac G5 Dual Core 2.0Ghz with PCI express.

All my PCI-e slots are empty, no other cards but the UAD-1e.

I don't think it makes a great deal of difference however never stick it in a x16 slot.

I don't have one but I assume a 4x would be better than an 8x then..even just in theory.

Yep, the UAD will operate at x1 speed regardless, so reserving x8 for another device would make more sense.
