so what exactly is the advantage of having the pci express card? does it get u more plugin instances or speed up the processing or what?

32bit PCI is on it's way out and the new MOB are coming out with the faster PCI-E slots but at this time the UAD-1 has been changed for compatablity only not speed. So the only advantage at this time is compatabiity. You get the same perfomance.
