Greets:
I have recently been experiencing some sort of doubling/phasing issues, and have narrow that down to two potential sources. I have the Twin X Duo interface, the Thunderbolt model. It works well with my computer. And up until recently, it has been working with some external devices (turntables, drum machine, etc.) via an audio splitter that's routed to the line inputs on the back of the unit. Has been working fine for eons.
I have not used the the gear in awhile, and when I turned on the drum machine, I heard a flanging, doubling sound. I thought it might have been the drum machine itself, but then I reconnected my turntable after getting a new stand for it, and heard the doubling coming from the turntable too.
I know that it's not my monitors, because, as mentioned, they play fine from the Twin X with the computer connected. The splitter I have is no-frills.: two pairs of RCA inputs on one side, and an RCA output on the other, which is routed to the Twin X with a pair of 1/4" plugs on the other end of the cable. Like I mentioned, all has been working fine.
There is also a volume control on the splitter, but even tweaking it is not making much of a difference.
The sound is very much like a flanger, and somewhat boxy.
Could use some guidance to try and solve this; thanks!
