.. hi there .. :)

i just purchased the Plate 140 pluggie, but found out that the component is gone. (i cant remember deleting it though, hrmpf.)
now, would it be sufficent if anyone just sends me the component?
or is there a way to download it at the UA site? (didnt find it so far).

'Component'? You mean the .reg file? This is specific to your cards and you can download it as often as you like from your uaudio account.

If you mean the plug-in itself, just download the UAD-1 software and re-install it.

It's important that you don't delete components, mainly because several of the plugins reference other plugins for graphical resources. If you really don't want to look at a plugin, I would suggest moving the bundle into a separate folder, so if a problem does occur from moving it, you can always move it back (for example I have the two following folders on my system):

MacHD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components
MacHD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components_unused

The \"_unused\" folder is never scanned by any AU apps so if you want to hide a plugin for troubleshooting or something, this would be the best way to do it since you can always move the plugin back at any time later(you could also do this with VST plugins too).

The final important note is that any of these moved bundles *will not* be updated or removed by any of our installers, so it's possible down the line to create even more problems by having version mismatches of plugins.
