• Welcome to the General Discussion forum for UAD users!

Please note that this forum is user-run, although we're thrilled to have so much contribution from Drew, Will, and other UA folks!

Feel free to discuss both UAD and non-UAD related subjects!

    1) Please do not post technical issues here. Please use our UAD Support Forums instead.

    2) Please do not post complaints here. Use the Unrest Forum instead. They have no place in the the General Discussion forum.

Threads posted in the wrong forum will be moved, so if you don't see your thread here anymore, please look in the correct forum.

    Lastly, please be respectful.

41 views and no reply. Have I made a faux pas in asking the question or are there hardly any forum members who use either?

I’m biased. That said, use whatever works for you, it’s easy enough to try them both, and both are free.

The way they differ is that mine is Mac only, but provides an ‘a la carte’ way to manage the UAD plugins, meaning you can choose to have all, some or none of the plug-ins you own at your fingertips. And you can choose to have/reinstate all, some or none of the ‘demos’, at any time, within seconds (well OK, maybe a minute).

I think it's a small percentage of users. Having worked with RogueM directly with very positive results, I am also biased. ;)

Sounds good. Thanks

Actually, it isn’t. Typically I get an average 1-2 requests of access to the beta every day, pretty much for the last 3 years. Plus of course I know the monthly download numbers (both beta and ‘stable’) and they are pretty high, as you would expect from a large user base.

Now as to where those users come from, I’m not sure, few interact with me, and I suspect they just get the link from this forum / another forum / a friend. The bottom line I guess, is that there is a HIGH demand for a more flexible plug-ins install/management. UA seems not to care however.

So in your best case scenario, that's less than 2200 users.

For context, there are over 57,000 users on this forum, and many more actual users of UA products.

So yeah, like Matt said: A small percentage of users.
