Plugin Request - Sansamp

I know there are other Sansamp plugins about, but I haven't found one for PC and Cubase. The general vibe is that Nigel is less than stellar, and we're certainly spoiled for choice when it comes to comps and EQ's now, so come on UA - how about a classic distortion unit like the Sansamp? A Boss DS-1, and Ibanez TS-1 - these kinds of things would be handy too, and surely, very low in CPU usage.

Yeah man!!

A proper distortion box would be a great addition :)

Superfuzz, or Bigmuff or any of those... Mmmmmmm :D

It's a good idea asking for Roland stuff but DS-1's only sound good in front of good tube amps. Their new '65 Deluxe Reverb & '59 Bassman pedals would probably better fit most DAW users' needs, & they're already digital. Some other good digital pedals from them are the FZ-5 Fuzz, SYB-5 Bass Synthesizer, or even the V-Guitar & V-Bass stuff.

Even though I'm complete fool for new guitar toys, I would not be interested in a UAD solution for latency reasons.
Did you try the free Simulanalog plugins ?
Marshall, Twin, TS9, Univibe, DS-1, SD-1, etc.
A big step above Guitar Rig, Amplitube, Pod etc. imho, the basic amp sounds are much better to my ears, and I own real vintage Marshall and Fenders.
OK, no fancy GUI and only mono, but free, very low CPU and they sound good.
I've heard they're working on a commercial version (no ETA yet), I'll buy that sight unseen.

I would LOVE!!! a Sansamp plug!! The latency may be too high to track with but for mixing, it would be a serious tool! Nigel is outdated and a memory hog.
A modern suite of serious guitar tools with the same attention to detail that Universal Audio is famous for would be HIGHLY APPRECIATED!!

Simulanalog = cool/free. What really kicked me in concerns of amp modelling is the Line6 Gearbox. No latency problems while tracking through it and the best amp feeling I ever had with a software. The further FX provided complement the UAD plugs very well (well done Api/Avalon/Neve preamp emulations and Mod/Del/Rev/Drivestuff etc. - though I prefer the UA versions mostly as long as there's enough DSP).
Gearbox = cool/not free and it has a GUI of course but I wouldn't call it fancy either

That's a good point. To be honest, I have absolutely zero interest in a Sansamp as an actual amp simulator, anyway.
