POP noise when connecting my microphone

Hey guys! I'm using an Apollo Twin X and a tlm103 microphone but I've realized that every time I connect my microphone to the interface, I hear a little pop. (With the phantom power off) Is this normal?

yes, it's normal.

It's standard studio protocol to mute a channel before plugging or unplugging a mic.
