Powercore Firewire Crashs

I just bought a use Poco firewire with Vss3 - i installes the Beta software but have a lot of crashes on my mac ppc g5 with logic pro 7 - especially when i close the gui of the vss3.

Is this better under the 2.2 software or has this one other problems?
Or am i the only one with crashs?

I haven't had any problems, but I wouldn't use the beta unless there was a specific reason.

You'll find most of us are skeptical w/ TC's releases.

well i remembered someone being told by the tc support to switch to the beta to solve some problems - thats why i installed thet right away.

Any other logic 7 users with powercore here? Is your system stable?

It's my current belief that the firewire versions of the powercore are not very stable... in regards to offline processing, several different daw software packages, and using any poco plugin that uses an entire dsp unit.

That being said... I love the powercore! I think the PCI/PCI-E versions are the way to go.

..well i would have chocen pci if the slots where not all taken by uad's
Well thanks - so i guess i have to hope for an udate and experiment with my firewire setup...
