Powercore's rebate program

In fact that upgrade deal is not very good. At first TC dropped the PCI mk2 price from 1250e to 750e and the powercore express price is still the same 1250e altough it's the same processing engine as pci mk2 has. The deal would be ok, if TC didn't drop the PCI mk2 price. Now if you want to upgrade, what do you get from the old card? 500e maybe and pay a couple of hundreds more to basically get the exactly same card & processing power in pci-e form. And in case you want to transfer you existing plugins to the new card, you have to send your powercore to TC for good and they transfer the licenses to your new powercore express card so you won't get anything from your existing card but you have to pay 1000e for the new powercore express. It's amazing how TC does these things. :D

I think you should redo the math. Why would we, as UAD-1 users, want TC's deal, when UA's combination of Cross Grade promo/UA 100 promo/Holiday Season Plugin sales promo is obviously superior! :?
I should know, as I just took full advantage of it! 8)
As an exisiting owner of (2) UAD-1 PCI cards, I just purchased (2) additional UAD-1 PCIe Express Paks. Hopefully, they will be in my hands and in my DAW, by tomorrow. If FedEx delivers as promised.
After all the discounts, promotions & plugin vouchers I basically got (2) brand new UAD-1 PCIe DSP cards for $124.15 each.
You know the kicker? I had the option to sell back my (2) exisiting UAD-1 PCI cards for $200 each, to my dealer ( another UAD-1 promotion thanks to http://www.jrrshop.com ), if I had wanted to. So I essentially could have just done a direct PCIe upgrade (swapped out my two old cards) and then actually pocketed $151.70 in the deal. I decided I wanted (4) UAD-1 cards in my DAW instead. :p

That is one thing I can say about UA, they do generously reward their loyal customers.

We are running our own UAD-1 trade-in program:

Combine that with all the plug-in vouchers UA is giving away till the end of the year & it ends up being a much better deal than the TC one.

Hi Eric, thanks for your help. I should have my cards by tomorrow. I saw your UAD-1 trade-in offer, but I decided I wanted to keep the extra DSP for my new NEVE plugins. My new ASUS P5B-E MB has (6) additional expansion slots (3 PCI & 3 PCIe), so I can fit all my DSP cards, into my DAW, with room to spare. :D

Wow, a E6300 Core Duo and (4) UAD-1 cards in one DAW!
I'll surely have one helluva DAW powerhouse then.
