Powermac G5 2GHz Dual working with UAD-1+Powercore PCI ?

Hello,
to everyboby in this forum.

Does somebody know if 2 UAD-1 and one Powercore PCI are working properly
together in Powermac G5 2GHz Dual (early 2005) ?
It is the Model with PCI slots only.

At UA supportwebsite I read it is a god model for UAD-1.
But the TC supportsite says the Powercore PCI will not work inside
this model if more than one PCI card is installt.

Somewhere in a forum I read the powercore PCI makes no trouble if I Install
together with 2 UAD-1 cards.

Maybe somebody here can help me this question ?

Hi. I'm using a Powermac Dual 2GHZ machine (the own with the PCI-X slots) and I am using uad-1 cards with a powercore element on this machine. Right now I have them in a expansion chassis but I have had uad-1 cards and a powercore in G4 tower machines and even a G3 (remember those?). I would be surprised if it did not work on your system particularly since you are using the recommended PCI slot G5. There are some nice plugins for the powercore if you are willing to pay the money. It has given me extra life in this G5 and I use the pwercore to run the VSS3 Reverb which is very nice. All the best.

Thank you for your posting.
My question is if powercore pci and uad-1 are working correct inside a Powermac G5 2 Ghz Dual model with PCI slots.

PCI powercore and UAD

Hi,

I've got the same G5 (dual 2gig Hz) running PCI powercore element and UAD-1 with MOTU 828. Works fine under tiger - though did have a hellish time under 10.3 at the start. Very stable system now.

Hello Dave,
thas is a god news. The day bevore yesturday I got an e-mail from UAD
Support:

\" ... If you install multiple UAD-1 cards in one machine, that configuration
will work with the Powercore. However if you only have one Powercore
and one UAD-1 the system will have trouble.
So to answer your question yes, that should be just fine.

Thanks!
