Preamp -> Ox Stomp ... or needs Power Amp section?

I've seen a ton of reviews where people are attempting to put a preamp pedal right into the Ox Stomp.
This would be great for me given all the preamp pedals I've collected over the years... but I suspect
I'd need to wedge in a 'power amp' section between them. Or maybe I just have this wrong?

The Two Notes have power amp emulators ... the Ox Stomp does not have this I'm assuming?

Thanks for any help and I apologize if this has been discussed elsewhere.

OX Stomp is designed to take the out of preamp pedals, amp sims, etc. Nothing else is needed.

Ox stomp has no power amp simulation.

It simulates the cabinet > room > microphones section very well.
So theoretically yes, you would need a power amp simulation.
I said theoretically, because in practice you could get good results even with the preamp alone...
