Precision EQ poor response to Control Surface

Hi All. I'm using 2 XUAD cards in a Dual 2.0 GHZ G5 PCI 4GB Ram, RME Multiface using Logic Pro 7.2 with a Mackie control Universal and XT.

The rig runs very well generally and I'm very happy with the UAD's except for one strangeness.

I often use the Precision Multiband followed by Precision EQ followed by Precision Limiter as my mastering chain. Using my 2 control surfaces to access each plugin on the Mackie's 16 Vpots is a great way to work except that when accessing the Precision EQ the response by the plugin parameters to external knob movements is jerky, tends to work better in decrement than increment and sometime stops responding to external control surface movements completely. Using the mouse keeps working.

Every other UAD/ Native plugin has no issues in this regard. Even when the Precision EQ stops responding to external CS movements.

Can others reproduce this at all? Any other thoughts bearing in mind that it's just this plugin that I have the issues with.

Hmm. Even though I've had no resposes about this I thought I would report that it's still the same issues now with UAD 4.6, OS X.4.9. That PEQ simply looses contact with the cntrol surface from time to time. The mouse still works. At the same time the Precision Multiband and Limiter both keep working fine via control surface or mouse.

UA? Anyone?

I have 3 MCU and the PEQ, I'll check that as soon as I can. What is the MIDI controller you're using ? I'm with a MOTU one. Before I was using the MIDI of my old sound card (Echo LAYLA) and had a lot of pb like this... since the MOTU no pb at all.

My midi inteface the MCU & XT are connected through is an Emagic MT4. I don't suspect the interrface at all because all other plugins and control surface features remain intact. It's just the PEQ that looses contact with the MCU's...

I had a chance to try this yesterday. The only bug I found was about the gain pot, when I touch it, it goes directly to +8dB (after that it works), but all the other fonctions works normally.

It's the only plugin that do this, so you may be right, there's a pb with MCU and PEQ.

Thanks again for trying this. It's strange for me because sometime it doesn't work at all and other times it works fine... Weird...
