Question about expansion chassis

I see everyone talking about the magma 7slot...So I figure that works well.
We have a pretty large Pro Tools Mix system and we are using the SBS 13slot chassis.

I'm looking at putting a Nuendo rig together for mixing on PC (sounds better and I like the UAD plugs..You get more power then when using them TDM).

Anyway..I plan on having the PC system and my Mac for Pro Tools....BUT! If I find I'm using only Nuendo (the Goal once I'm settled in). Then use just a few Mix cards in the Mac for say..Mobile gigs. Then I could free up my SBS 13slot.

Question: Will the SBS work? Or is that a big no...And that is why I only see mention of Magma?

All the feedback ive seen on here suggests that SBS doesnt work with uad and pcs. Extremely high cpu useage when running hardly anything at all seems to be common. I dont know anyone who has an SBS chassis and a pc working yet, hopefully someone will step in a say otherwise.
