First:
Tonight I noticed that Waves IR1 Full Reverb Direct-X version, uses 10% less CPU power than VST version..

Anyone else seen anything like this?

Second:

My SAM V9 is registered and activated.. How come I keep getting the pop up asking me to go from 8-9/ save some file or \"Apply\"? Is there an update for the USB key Driver??? My computer is not online nor will it ever be.. I went to the key MAnufacture's website, but no drivers are available. For some reason my computer won't boot, if the key is in my PC. I have USB booting disabled. This is kind of a PITA...

PLease, any suggestions are more than welcome..

thanx..
Scott

Are you speaking of the codemeter?

You should have upgraded the dongle from V8 to V9--have you? This is supposed to happen through the Magix support site, but I had some difficulties and had to email them the \"wibu\" file that was generated. They sent me the updated file, I loaded it, and am off and running.

Let me know if I misunderstood your question--my post should make sense.

I purchased a new copy of V9. Not the upgrade. When booting SAM V9, a pop-up says uprade wibu-8 to 9 or item expires in 90 days.. asks me to save or apply, some sort of file that is almost the same as my serial# for V9. My SAM V9 is registered. hmmm

thanx, let me know...

Did your copy come w/ the codemeter?
Codemeter? hmmm...

I'm new to the SAM world... I am seeing a the Codemeter icon in the bottom right of XP... I guess that means it's up and running...

sorry I can't fill you in on anything else...

Thanx Cass
let me know if that helped any.

Just go here:
samservice@magix.net

They'll get back with you in a day or so. Will the program function once you get past that screen?
Thanx for the email... Yeah, it will open SAM. V9 is running great. CPU is a little Jumpy, but they have yet to issue a patch and I'm sure one is coming soon. Other than that, V9 is spectacular. I haven't even scratched the surface.

The message, that pops up, says it will expire in 90 days, but SAM is running great.. In the mean time, I guess I'll find out in 90 days.

Thanx Cass

I'll see if I notice anything--I've been so backed up that I haven't had a chance to do anything beside \"work\"--no experimenting yet.

I've been doing some mastering, so I've used the 33609 and Prec EQ, but haven't noticed a spike (or what I would call a spike).
Then again, my new DAW is a quad, so nothing makes it burp....yet
