Hello...I'm very new and trying to record my bass while hearing my ezmix insert in real-time while recording. My UA insert stay viable when the track is armed to record, but the EZMix insert goes black. Is there a way to monitor this insert in real-time? Thank you!

I just checked on my system, and EZMix inserted on a mono audio track tracks very will with my guitar up from 32 up to 256 buffer sizes. Once in ARM mode, the EZMix insert is disabled.

My guess is that the OP is using ARM mode while recording.

Thanks for the replies...I used to use the EZMix effects in real-time in ProTools without an issue. I was really hoping for a solution, as it's tough to track a distorted guitar without hearing the effects as you play. I'd hate to ditch the EZMix effects to use LUNA as they are so "EZ" to use :).

When using LUNA in Apollo mode all inserts that don't run on Apollo'S DSP get bypassed while in record. If you understand how near-zero latency works in LUNA, it makes perfect sense. All the processing (and monitoring) is done on the Apollo. For your EZMix, the audio would need to travel to the computer and then would need to be fed back into the CUE system, which brings additional latency.

You have two possibilities: switch to Core Audio to record your guitars using EZMix, or use a standalone instance of EZMix (don't know if there is a standalone version of it) and route it to LUNA through a Virtual Channel

Ahhh...thank you for the explanation. That does make sense.
