Since my \"is this typical american\" thread is locked, probably for a good reason, i just want to add a reply here.

Yes i had a couple of glasses of wine before writing my post but believe me, it was NOT an anti-american statement or ment as an american ridicule in any way.

my post was written tounge in cheek with a giggle and should be regarded as mere conversation (silly and prosaic, yes) but still just conversation. NOT a statement in any way.

still, please accept my apologies if my post offended you in any way.

I get what you mean, Andreas; I actually talk like that about my own natives, Greeks. Still, it's a fine line when talking about that stuff. I won't say if it's you (or anyone who talks tongue in cheek in any case) or the other party that is at fault, it's just that, as Matt said, there's a potential for such a thread to go wrong, so now that you have posted your apology, please allow me to lock this thread, too.

PS: I visited your myspace page the other day and liked what I heard. Nice stuff. 8)
