RevivalDrive into a Dream/Ruby

I'm interested in checking out the Origin Effect RevivalDrive - and while it appears it has the cajones to be a standalone amp in a box itself, it also has quite the ability to handle a wide array of OD settings. I would put this in front of my Dream (or Ruby, I have both).

In this configuration - I am thinking I would use the Dream or Ruby as an actual "amp". The end of the chain is an Ox Stomp.

The RevivalDrive has a Re-Amp EQ switch that can be set to either an EQ1 or EQ2 (these appear to be what you would use if going into an actual amp). There is also a setting for Power Amp (which seems to be for what you would do for something like an Ox Stomp or other cabsim box.

My question is - which setting would be recommended? I'm thinking if the Dream/Ruby are acting as the "amp", I would use the EQ1 or EQ2 setting?

I don't have the pedal yet, but was hoping maybe someone who has already crossed this bridge and might have some feedback.

Thanks!

You'll definitely want to use EQ1 or EQ2 with Dream or Ruby. EQ1 is designed for Fenders, EQ2 for Marshall. Experiment with it. If you can afford the upgrade then the RevivalDrive Custom has a customizable EQ2 which is very powerful but also very confusion.

The RevivalDrive is a spectacular pedal. There's nothing like it on the market.

I have the Dream & Lion and have the Revival Drive compact version in front. I can get some good tones out of it into both but found that I prefer it with the Dream. That being said I use it less than my other drives (Strymon Riverside, Wampler Pantheon Deluxe). I just received an Ox Stomp today and will be trying the Revival drive in front of that with the EQ set to “preamp”.
