Riding the faders

In many of my mixes, I like to do a lot of fader-rides. After I retired my old Yamaha 02R, and started doing everything \"in the box\", I have no choice but to use my mouse to ride a track.

What I would love to have is one (yes, ONE) hight quality fader with USB connection to ride one chanel at the time. I've been working in studios with 24ch. Digidesign ProControl, Control24's etc., but I find myself using the computer keyboard for shortcuts, and only riding one fader at a time on the control-surface.

Does anyone know of such a product? If not, I'm gonna call McGyver, I'm sure he can build me one from a couple of paperclips.

Thanx Dan!

Interresting devices. I already have transport-shortcuts on my computer keyboard, and on my Novation Remote SL 32. What would be and ideal product for me, is just a motorized fader with four/five buttons next to it for \"read, write, touch, latch, off\".

I still will consider one of these though. Thanx.

Thanx for the links, though!

I'll take these products into consideration.

Personally, if I had just one fader I would rarely touch it. I need at least 24 faders before I put down the mouse. But, that's me. I hate using the mouse, and I'm a mouse pro Wink
...and just to be clear; I'm not trying to put down the mouse. I just don't like riding the faders with a mouse. I'ts not as accurate, and you have to keep the button pushed in while riding... Stressfull for my arms (carpel tunnel syndrome) when mixing for 12 hours a day.

The Presonus fader is very high quality, as good as the Pro Control's faders, but the Frontier Design fader isn't very good (a shame since the Frontier has better features otherwise).
