Searching for frequencies, thankful for any advice...

When I compare my music to other (popular) music there's often a main difference in the use of the frequency-spectrum. The poular stuff uses all frequencies and reaches maximum volume while my music often lacks the very low & very high frequencies - at least it doesn't reach such a high volume there but it would make the music sound better, more interesting and fuller/louder.

Am I just lacking of the sounds? Maybe I just need more practice in this, more EQs or probably new/better monitors? That just came to my mind while writting! I'm using Tannoy Reveal (Passive) monitors, it's the first ones I bought - probably they're cheap shit.

I'm just wondering how it is possible for the pros to cover almost any frequency in their tracks all the time. :|

Actually , these are the monitors I use . I like them . As far as the sound spectrum goes It's learning EQ and Compression .

Well,...so you say it's learning EQ and compression basically...hmmm. I know there's always something to learn...let's see...now where do I go from here?

good luck....and dont think too much...cause it can get very deep in terms of compression+eq...

and often times when you see the full spectrum is because the material has been mastered professionally..

Well, actually I like those monitors a lot myself, expect that I think that they're missing some pressure on very low-bass presence.

I do use them inconjunction with Tannoys 10 \" sub .

Hm, interesting. Never used a sub though. How is it attached? Do you need a surround system or any kind of special amplifier for that?
